A company that carries on business in the province which was not incorporated under a Saskatchewan statute is likely required to register as an extra-provincial corporation. Similarly, it is also necessary to register limited partnerships that were created elsewhere that do business in Saskatchewan.
Depending on the nature of the business, there may be other licensing requirements as well. For example, special licenses are required to operate insurance, financing, and direct sales businesses.
We act as the registered power of attorney (the office for service of documents) for a large number of companies that are based outside of the province and we are pleased to assist clients in registering in Saskatchewan or determining if they are required to register in Saskatchewan.
If you are interested in registering in the province or need further information, please contact any of our listed lawyers.
