Saskatchewan ranks as the second largest producer of oil in Canada, and is a significant producer of natural gas. The oil and gas industry is important to Saskatchewan and to us. We act as Saskatchewan counsel for many oil and gas companies, from large public companies to locally owned private corporations. The Canadian oil and gas industry is largely based in Alberta, and not surprisingly the core of our practice involves acting as local counsel to national and international firms with operations in Saskatchewan.

Our broad clientele has given us the opportunity to gain experience in most legal matters affecting the oil and gas industry in Saskatchewan, ranging from surface rights to leading edge issues such as coal bed methane. Our practice is headed by Keith D. Boyd, Q.C., who is the only lawyer in Saskatchewan currently rated by Lexpert in the Energy - Oil and Gas field. Several of our partners are members of the Canadian Petroleum Law Foundation.

Our experience in the energy and natural resources industry is not limited to oil and gas. We have participated in the development of some of the first wind and co-generation projects in Saskatchewan, and we have acted as counsel on several mining projects.
