Kanuka Thuringer LLP Welcomes 2 New Partners

Kanuka Thuringer LLP is pleased to welcome Jason M. Clayards and David A. Couture as partners to the firm as of January 1, 2018.

Jason M. Clayards joins the partnership of Kanuka Thuringer LLP with a practice primarily focused on civil litigation. 

  •         • He holds his LL.B. (Honours) from the University of Liverpool.  He joined the firm in 2013 and was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2014.
  •         • Jason practices in many areas of litigation including construction disputes, insurance, commercial and corporate disputes, administrative law, constitutional law and First Nations law.  He appears regularly before the Court of Queen’s Bench on civil matters and has appeared a number of times before the Court of Appeal. He has experience in chambers, at trial and on appeal.
  •         • Jason has appeared before statutory tribunals and the Tax Court of Canada.  He has also represented clients on leave applications to the Supreme Court of Canada.

 

David A. Couture joins the partnership of Kanuka Thuringer LLP with a practice primarily focused on family law.

  •         • David holds his J.D. from the University of Saskatchewan.  He joined the firm in 2012 and was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2013.
  •         • In his practice, David regularly advises clients on separation, divorce, custody, child and spousal support, and parenting.  
  •         • David also has particular experience in preparing applications pertaining to interim mobility, minor and adult guardianship, and adoptions.  He has argued cases before all levels of court in Saskatchewan.

 

Both David and Jason are based in the Regina office of Kanuka Thuringer LLP.
