Jessica was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. She studied justice studies at the University of Regina, receiving a Bachelor of Human Justice with distinction in 2013. Jessica then studied law at the University of Saskatchewan, receiving her Juris Doctor with distinction in 2017. Following law school, she clerked under the mentorship of Associate Chief Judge Hinds at the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan, where she drafted judgements and conducted extensive research in criminal and civil law. She also gained valuable insight into what makes for effective courtroom advocacy. Jessica joined Kanuka Thuringer in 2018 and has a broad interest in civil litigation, wills and estates, family law and criminal law.
